I have a newish UPC digital box, connected to my tv (Samsung 7 series LED) via SCART and I am getting some distortion. I have the volume on the Digital box at about 60% and the tv at 70% any ideas whats wrong?

If its a digital HD box then connect it using a HDMI cable, which may improve the sound issue and will improve the picture.

is the noise only there when you have the upc box in what about a dvd player/xbox/ps etc..

my guess is that you have to volume turned to to much on your tv.

Its not the HD one so I dont have HDMI. I tried played around with the volume, which helps but it doesnt get rid of it.

Its really annoying when your watching stuff

Ya. Not sure if its the box or the scart cables might not be good enough

Turn the volume on the upc box up 100% then adjust the volume with your tv accordingly. Thats what made a friends dissapear. Hope this helps

Yeah, there should be no need to have the volume on anything less that full on the UPC box. Also, don't expect any wonders from the built-in speakers on those LED backlit TVs - they're too flat to be any good.

I'm wondering is this all upc boxes that hum to a crescendo every 15 minutes regardless of volume or are ours broken?
