Does anyone know about the selection process for the new organic scheme about how they will select one farm over another farm on what merits. Rang a few people in the dept of ag nobody knew anything , one of the problems is you pay ur 500 euro to iogfa and then if you dont get accepted by the department you loose ur money, they said it depends how many people apply if alot of people apply there will be very strict criteria ,

i think conversion is over 2 years.

Is there 2 organic farming schemes available, 1 a payment they recieve each year like REPs, and another they can avail of called the capital grant scheme to help aid investments in equipment and facilities???

If you were to go into organic farming now what assistance is still available?

I see their scheme is open to next year but with Reps changing what may be available for newcomers to organic farming?
