Is there a fee if you downgrade your sky package ?

I thought I read this in a leaflet not to long ago and also on the forum.

You only have to give 31 days notice to cancel not to remove any package, although ESPN have now imposed the 31 days notice to cancel

I rang to remove Sky Sports from my package last week and was told I had to give 31 days notice. i'm fairly sure they brought this in recently.

Yes you have to give them 31 days notice when downgrading your viewing package. This was only introduced around the start of April

I've never heard of that, sounds very odd. Most years after the Premiership is over I ring to cancel Sky Sports. Today I rang to cancel and it was no problem, they guy told me about an offer of Sky Sports 1 free for 4 months so I got that :) Last year when I rang I kept it because they gave me the Sports for the 3 months for the price of 1 month.

I rang to cancel Sports yesterday and was told nothing about the 31 days notice. They did tell me that I could keep the sports and still save the same amount. So I have sports free(ish) for 6 months. I also asked about cancelling ESPN and got that free for 4 months.

Yeah, I tried previously and they just said ok no prob when I wanted to cancel ESPN. I ended up keeping it as I want to watch the Major League baseball for the summer.

    Might try again. thanks!
