Replacement Keys for 99 Golf !?!

    Hey

Had the keys nicked for our 99 golf.

I've been googling around and making some calls to see how I can get a new set. Mad money being quoted.

Its a key with no buttons but the car does have an immobiliser etc

Do we need to get someone to come out to the car etc or can it be done by the garage without bringing them the car (which is obviuosly a problem) with all releveant information provided, chasis numbers etc?

    Any advice?

Change the locks and ignition on the car; someone has the keys of your car so there is not much point in just getting a new set cut for the existing locks.

They were stolen miles away and they have no way to link them to us, so not so concerned about that.

I think I paid €80 for a second key a few years back. Silly money.
