Meeting with Financial Advisor from WCEB

    Hi Everyone,

I just wanted some general advice. I have two scheduled meetings with a financial adviser from Waterford City Enterprise Board in June and July regarding the finance side of my business plan. I pretty much have most of the business plan completed but just need a professional to look over the finance side of my business plan as although I have a business degree, I do not have a strong accounting background.

My question is aprt from obviously bringing the finance side of my business plan to the meeting, do I bring my complete business plan or just the finance side of things. I presume I should just use my judgment and bring whatever information will be appropriate for the meeting. Obviously my business plan is very detailed and has a lot of information that I wouldn't freely disclose but obviously the WCEB is there to help.

Any advice on this matter would be much appreciated.

My advise would be to have everything with you but just present the finance end to begin with. Any other information that is asked for can be supplied from memory but if that's not good enough then you can produce the rest.

Bring everything and remember you are selling yourself . Anybody can produce Finacial forecasts on paper but not many can deliver . So make sure you have your CV included and be prepared to tell him how & why YOU are going to deliver.

    Hi bon ami,

Thank you for your advice. Thats a brilliant idea about the CV; I never thought about that to be honest.
