Christ almighty, it must have been some arcade room. Ive seen the 360 degree panoramic shot, but Id say in person it was unreal. The console stands are sweet too.

Sadly, I looked through that whole catalogue. Did anyone else recognise an Irish connection on page 236.

Seems the auction is actually over. I would imagine everything sold for far less than the valuations in the book seeing as there was just so much stuff. Would be interesting to see a list of final prices..although, maybe not. I may cry with jealousy!

Ah right. Y'know it's probably for the best that we don't know what they sold for. I'd say there wasn't much interest in those though as I'd say people would have been more interested in his more recognizable or memorable things eg: clothes, outfits.

Don't go looking for selling prices lads, I remember last year (think it was that long ago) on the news it was mentioned that a lot of his stuff didn't sell, and a lot sold way below what was expected. You'll only torture yourselves. :P

Was in an indie games store in NY last week that had one of those virtual boy displays, was cool to see.

Actually at Video Games Live last year they had a Michael Jackson tribute beforehand (I think), and it mentioned him being a huge video game fan. They guy beside me dismissed it instantly, basically saying there was no way he was a "true gamer", or something to that effect . Great to see his collection, even if it is no more.

That guy sounds like a right game nerd. "He wasnt a true gamer"...take a look at his auction items buddy...

Hah! Indeed. MJ was quite possibly one of the richest videogame collectors in the world. There's more to being a 'true gamer' than teabagging people in Halo every night...

I'm just suprised he didn't have a Moonwalker cabinet. What's that about?

Michael Jackson had a pretty strong connection with Sega was well, from the moonwalker games, doing the music in Sonic 3 and appearing in Space Channel 5. Lots of his collection is Sega stuff.

Yeah that was because they displayed some of the items to be auctioned off a few months before he died.

    Newbridge Silver that is.
