Has anyone here gone to Nepal specifically for this Trek...I was thinking of doing it later this year or maybe next but I am not sure whether I would have enough time to spend there in 10 days or so.

Can anyone who has done same give me info on how much time I would need, safety concerns or how much money?

    Many thanks

Can you compare it to any other trekking, would it be similar to Inca trail at all ? I've climbed Kilimajaro by the way

Tbh Id say the Inca Trail is harder than the EBC, at least in terms of ascents/descents. The EBC trail starts at about 2,400m and graduates to a peak of 5,600m (that climbing a mountain called Kala Patar from where the best views of Everest are to be had). It is much longer than the Inca Trail though- at least 14 days is needed for the EBC compared to 4 for the Inca Trail.

You really need 3 weeks all up in Nepal to do it properly, thats allowing a couple of extra days in case flights to Lukla don't fly because of the weather. If you don't need them then there's white water rafting to be had right out of Kathmandu to kill the itme.

If you've climbed Kilimanjaro then you should have no probs with the EBC, the EBC is more like a gradual ascent spread out over a much longer distance than anything else. It's not a doddle by any means and does require endurance, stamina and mental strength but it is definitely an achievable goal for anyone who has the determination and will power.
