These are fecking delish.. tucking into one right now!

Probably not much more than a €1 normally but they are on special.

And a good ol' all-too-detailed-verging-on-pornographic-detail review from here:
As you lift one out of the packet I am sure that you will agree with me that they are very lightweight. They are about the same size around as a Rich Tea biscuit but are considerably thicker. On the surface the coconut treat is dark and rugged and has been visibly enhanced with the aid of some chocolate zig zags that have been piped on the top. Give the macaroon a good squeeze and you will notice that it gives way to fingertip pressure, the coconut and egg white mixture is fairly delicate. The cakes have been baked directly onto rice paper, so at the base of each the rice paper is still in place but it is edible anyway.
Bite into the macaroon and make note of the supersweet chewiness, the soft inside mingles with the sterner exterior and creates an amazing full flavour and texture. The chocolate that has been used as a decoration is soft and malleable and compliments the moist coconut macaroon so well.

In the Greystones branch of Tesco it was in the same place as the Mr. Kipling cakes.

lol @ rice paper, it's true though I think most people think that you need to peel it off.
I love these macaroons, they're honestly very very tasty. Shame I'm off chocolate for lent (obviously I'd love chocolate!!) but can't have these at the minute either :(
    Eat some for me!!

One Macaroon is 20% of your sugar RDA! I ate 6 of them today already and I take too much sugar in my tea as it is.

Have checked 3 Tescos for these and cannot find them:( Am intrigued to try them after reading the posts here. What section are they normally? I am assuming biscuits but perhaps I'm wrong.

Nope, the opposite side of the store to the biscuits in my local Tesco.

They should be among the Mr Kipling Cake Slices etc.

They're tasty and mourish enough.. but I'd never have more than one in a single sitting.

There's always somebody who wants to spoil the fun, if we wanted to work out the calorific content we'd look at the packet (as probably we do for most things, but every now and then there are little treats which we choose not to read up on, yes, because we know it won't make for good reading), next thing somebody will telling us what the calorific and fat content is for a buffalo wing with a healthy (sized that is) dollop of blue cheese dip:eek:

Anyway, sure these are coconut macaroons, everybody knows that nuts are full of good cholesterol and face it, have you ever seen a big pacific islander?

Thanks basq Didn't do a thorough search of the cake section, will def check next time. I keep imagining what they will taste like, hope I'm not disappointed!! Did find Tesco finest Quadruple:eek: Chocolate chip cookies though for 87c (all butter biscuits baked with milk, plain and white chocolate pieces, dipped in smooth belgian milk chocolate) Don't really like cookies but the kids assure me that they are very nice, and Tesco finest Stem Ginger Cookies for 44c- Very nice.

These are what I used to eat every day:

    011235.jpg?ts=633851753184

Probably worse than the macaroons because I used to be able to get through 2/3 of a pack in one settings, only 67p and they are delicious.

The Aldi ones are just as nice and only 49p :p

Can someone take a pic of the Cocunut Macaroons pack so I can see what they look like for the weekend's shop?
