Thinking of getting a new car

    Hi all,

As the thread title suggests, I'm thinking of getting a new car. I currently drive a 1999 Fiesta and ideally I'd like to change to a Focus. I'm not set on a Focus though but I do want a hatchback. I also want to change to diesel as I'm doing a fair bit of driving. I am planning on getting a loan for about €7000 and I'd like to get as new as car as possible as I'm sick of driving cars that are 10 years or older. Does anyone have any suggestions on cars? Would it be worthwhile going up North?

Seat Leon? Practically a Golf without the badge.

Decent diesel engine in them AFAIK

Or you could look at the equivilent Octavia

Thanks Stee. Fair enough, asking was it a hatchback might be a silly question to you but when I think of a hatchback I always of a car shaped liked the Focus or Fiesta. I'm sorry I'm not a car expert. Should I just hand my licence over now?

This boot is as big as the hatchback focus. Nice yoke for the money.

You don't want to touch a diesel Mazda 6 of that vintage, a total disaster that engine.

Wasnt silly asking for a hatchback at all, they'd be my own preference too. The octavia is suggested to everyone no matter what their needs or budget. And no need to be a car expert either, sure thats why there's people here to help.

    You're wrong

If Octavia was a person, it would be Chuck Norris.
