Hi all, I am trying to find out for definite how much I will be entitled to claim on job seekers benefit whilst working a 3 day week (down from 6 day week) I have looked back through the previous threads and cant find any concrete answer. I have been in full time employment for the last few years so am fully paid up in stamps etc.

    Cheers in advance.

    196.00 divided by 6 days = €32.66

    Day Rate (€32.66) x 3 days = €97.98

Thats if your on Jobseekers Benefit.

If your on Jobseekers Allowence then they take means into account.

Hi, I'm currently working 4 days per week and am cut down to 3 i.e. 8 hours. What would I be entitled to claim?

Also if you are eventually let go and you are now claiming for say, 3 days or 2 days, these contributions will be taken into account when you are fully unemployed, as in, you will only get full JSB for a short period. Many people, like myself!!!, thought that they could claim JSB for the now reduced 9 months. True, if you have never claimed before.
