Micro Sim in Ireland

Possibly getting an iPad in June from the states, maybe the 3G one. Does anyone know if any networks do,or plan to, use the micro sims that the iPad uses?

I saw a post on engadget where a guy in the UK cut a normal sim down to the correct size and it worked! Don't know how feasible it would be for most people to do though.
