Recommend a full set of clubs?

Looking for some advice on buying a full set.

Background: I used to play a lot in my teens as a junior but haven't played in ~9 years. I now want to get back into it, and need a new set of clubs.

I've been looking at the entry-level sets available at McGuirks, but I'm not sure if they're decent or not:

Specifically the Spalding XR7 set. I wouldn't count myself as a beginner, since I certainly can still swing a club. I won't be playing a huge amount, hopefully every couple of weeks or so.

Can anyone recommend a set for me?

    Thanks in advance,

    C.

If you can still swing a club pretty well, I'd stay away from beginner sets...
Go with some game improvement irons...google that and you'll come up with lots of ideas...
eg, mizuno mx 100s, cobra s9s, ping g15s, callaway x22s, callaway diablo edge, taylormade burners, nike machspeed....the list goes on...
these are forgiving clubs and will help you at your standard...
if your budget is low, try to buy secondhand....
try to hit as many of these clubs as you can at a range (kinsealy driving range is good for demo clubs) so you can discover what you like best...

I just chaged to Taylor Made Burner Plus Combo clubs this year and I have to say it was the best decision I ever made. They are extreamly easy to hit and come with three hybrid's (3, 4 & 5) which make long fairway shots much easier.
The Burner Plus driver is also a super club.

Before I changed I was struggling with a set of semi-cavity Mizunos (good clubs in the right hands). Easily reduced my HC by three strokes perhaps more.

Not sure if they still make stock the combo set still, but I'm sure most shops will let you pick and match a set.
