Just a note in case anyone is using Exchange 2010 live, you might want to ensure you take care choosing a time to install Rollup 3, and have good backups.

Installing the patch via windows update on a clean test server resulted in Exchange services being stopped for 2 hours as it recompiled the .Net assemblies for native performance on the server. The restart afterwards left the server with all exchange and IIS services in disabled mode, and after manually starting, OWA was left throwing the old flogon.js error preventing the display of the logon page, and Exchange management console had issues.

Uninstalling the patch cleared the issue here, but again takes hours to uninstall.

It's meant to be a consequence of default Powershell execute policies.
The process in the url below outlines how to install a MSP patch with a full verbose log, and to temporarily set the powershell properties to 'undefined'.

    While I'm at it,
Exchange 2010 also has the same issue as 2007 had. When you follow MS advice and do not install on a domain controller, it creates a SPN record ExchangeAB which should instead be on the Global Catalog Server.

This results in repeated prompts in Outlook 2007 for authentication.
