Hey, am thinking of going to Buenos Aires. Cheapest choice is Iberia or Alitalia. Any one any advice or experience with either airline for longhaul?

Iberia isn't that bad. Seats comfortable, food pretty plentiful and reasonably edible. If you get a decent crew, there are worse flights to take. Be warned, there is no seatback entertainment in economy, so bring something of your own unless you want to watch the pretty awful movie(s) they show. Madrid's a pretty nice airport to be in/transit through also.

The Iberia trip also involves only one stop from Dublin. If flying Alitalia, you will end up going via somewhere else (e.g. Dublin - Paris - Rome - Buenos Aires) which adds extra time, risk and pain into the mix).

I can't remember the last time I flew long haul where there wasn't seat back TVs. Surprised there are even airlines that still don't have this feature. Does anyone know if Alitalia long haul have it?

There are plenty out there yet :)

    I believe Alitalia's 777's have limited AVOD.
