Just dropped my laptop and cracked the screen. I seena few threads on here and I think il go with an e Bay seller and buy a replacment screen. Its a Dell inspiron 1520 i can get a replacment screen for around £80 +pp. Id feel confident enough actually replacing my own screen so I dont have to worry about labour costs. Im just wondering if anyone has any experience in buying replacnet screens and fitting them themselvs is there anything I should be aware of before I go ahead and buy it?
Also if anyone has any other ideas let me know. Im based around Laois, Kildare, Carlow and Waterford.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

if you feel confident doing the repair yourself by all means continue with it

I'm just letting you know that in the first 5 months of this year i have been asked by 5 people to repair differant gadgets that they had attemped themselves using videos from the net

All of them had caused more damaged by doing it themselves and it ended up costing them more money than i would have charged for the repair including the orginal part

I am based in New Ross and would be able to change the screen for you if you wish to purchase the part yourself. I would charge only a small fee for my time

Electronic devices are sensitive and can be damaged easily and can cost a lot to put right, sometimes more than it would cost to replace
