Just completed it this week, I have 1,080 members, and it sold out except for four corporate bastards who didn't bother to turn up. That was aginst older opposition mind, it might not sell out against a weaker opponent/bot.

Net return is 145k per match.

Can we swap? Although I was told standing seats are mainly worthless?

Basically went for a massive upgrade last season instead of several smaller ones, dunno if it was the right idea.

Is it possiblt to get rid of Standing Areas?

Yeah, just put - into the counter before whatever amount of seat you want to downgrade.

I think that is the right idea, but I've also been told that increasing standing is a waste of an investment.

It certainly is. Jeremy maintains that standing areas can generate a profit, but any calculations I've seen seem to indicate that they don't.

That being said, all of the league 1 big boys still seem to have standing areas, so they propably know something I don't. My best guess is that standing areas require fewer staff, which is not reflected in the spreadsheets.

How do you get rid of some of your stadium? I've got far too much

The stadium upgrade screen asks you how many seats you want to 'add' in each section. If you put a negative number in the box, it will remove that number of seats instead.

Afair, removing a seat costs half as much as adding one (in the same section).

    Dave,

What sort of staffing numbers have you got with that stadium configuration ?

That's a fine return for a home game. Mine is only 129k. I wonder do I have too many staff ?

Looks like you have a good few empty seats allright. I'd be tempted to try and wait it out thought. I'm guessing you are averaging about 10 new members per week, so that stadium will be heading toward capacity by the end of next season (ignoring the new contentment stuff, which we can't really predict).

It could be cheaper to hang in there rather than knock down and rebuild that soon. Maybe try reducing your staffing levels - afaik the 'required' staffing depends on your actual attendances rather than your max capacity.

Only had it for a couple of home matches, yet to fill it completely, although usually both were roughly 8000 so not too bad.

As for standing my understanding was that they make a tiny profit. Not enough to make expansion worthwhile, it would take forever to pay it back but maybe would stop you getting rid.

Also I read somewhere that the fans who would use the standing wont go to the other sections so you are reducing your attendance and losing the (small) profit made from standing.

Overall I dont plan to ever expand standing but will not be getting rid of what I started with

    Just for info.

I have dropped my standing allocation of 1000, so now my total capacity is 8200.

Even though I now have 1000 less in my stadium, my profit increases by 5k per home game by my calculations.

I'm not sure when this comes into effect officially, but the the suggestion to be able to set stadium staffing according to attendance rather than stadium capacity has been accepted.

This means that when playing a home game against a bot, or when your fans contentment is shot, you can reduce your staffing costs so as to keep your profit levels up.

Great news, considering I started a stadium expansion that will be done next week before realising the major contentment hits this season.

I would say it will be in the usual week 8 half season changes (hopefully).

There'll also be some changes to energy and injury levels according to Jeremy (last post)

Sweet. I think they might try and get it done for week 8, there's an awful lot of demand for it.
