Took these in the Phoenix Park a couple of weeks ago. Wondering what people think.
They were taken with a Nikon FM2, 50mm lens.

I don't like the other cars in the background in no.1, but I dont' think I'd much option. The sky was pretty close to that colour too (though it still seems a bit overexposed to me ?)
    Any advice appreciated. :)

Agree with you that number one is too busy and the subject is not isolated enough.
In number two I'd be inclined to have gone in closer and maybe you could crop it to achieve the same effect.

Lovely composition, nice saturated colours , not overstated, technically good , nice sense of nostalgia while avoiding the appalling holga/polaroid/whateveryourehavingyourseslf cliches in flickrland.

No. 1 is nice but does suffer from a bit of b/g clutter.

    Well done!

I have always loved the FM2 - though I am a digital canon shooter now. The FM2 & its cousin, the FE2 were, and remain, classic cameras that can still produce amazing results. would you mind letting us know the film & P/P you used?

    Thanks

    Thanks for the replies :)

@FoxT: thanks for your comments. I'm really enjoying the FM2, though most of the stuff I've shot has been rubbish! The film is just Fuji Superia 200 (the cheaper stuff!).
I really don't know much about PP so I just increased the contrast and the saturation a little. The second one is a slightly tighter crop of the original.

    Thanks again!

Personally.. I don't give a crap that the car is red.. what I love that it has about 16 bazillion tons of clean, shiny, well-polished chrome! =D Lots of ways to catch bits of things reflected in parts of the car.. a good place to use a lens that can do macro or near-macro focusing and play with lots of different angles in those fantastically shiny bumpers. :)

You don't find that much chrome on cars often nowadays.

Great captures. I think the first shot could be improved so much without those damn new cars in the background, they take a lot away from the original shot!

The second shot is superb, it reminds me of something you'd see in a high-end magazine! Good job!
