Great news......after being 12 months out of work, I finally landed myself a job. Absolutely delighted with myself. Talk about a year from hell. My whole life just changed with that single phone call. To make it even better the starting wage is better than expected, €28k (does anybody know how much this is after tax?). This is my first job out of college. All I have to do now is pay off my €2k debt and then I can look forward to moving out. Life is on the up.

For those who don't have any luck, just keep your head up. There's opportunities out there. I kept myself motivated by keeping a structure to your day. Join a gym, join a social club (I joined rugby). Can't tell you how much these kept me up during unemployed. That phone call will come. I know how frustrating it is with lack of opportunities.

    Hey Op

Well done, and thanks for sharing your great news. I hope to be in your shoes soon. I have an interview on Monday (passed the 1st one) so fingers crossed I pass the second one and get the job.

    Well done OP.

I think you will net about 1950 - 2000 a month, or there abouts. Don't quote me on that but it's close enough.

Cannot wait to get a permenant job :)

Tax Calculator for Ireland will tell you exactly what the breakdown will be. As close to accurate as I could find.

    Congrats OP

    BTW what a cringe ad!!
