Anyone know a good place in dublin to go about car audio ?
I want to get a quote on installling some speakers properly, but cannot afford to pay through the nose for it.

I've tried it myself but there appears to be something wrong with the existing wiring from when a hands free was installed by the previous owner.

I hate having poor quality crackling sound in my car.

I got a guy to fix my central locking a few weeks ago, Barry Mc, his number is 087 7666015, very very handy with car electrics. Cool guy too

He's based in Lusk but id say he'd come out wherever ya need

    thanks graham,
sorry only seeing your response now for some reason.

any ideas how much it would cost roughly ?
or does anyone have any guideline prices on what i should pay ?

All depends on what you want, if you go with the guy I recommended, you could call him, tell him what you want to achieve and he could tell you where to buy em or he could get them for you. He won't charge through the nose for labour

What car are you installing the speakers in?

I was an installer for a few years but dont have the time anymore, although I'd give you any advice I can if you want to talk through fitting it yourself again

    it's a peugeot 406 coupe,
the problem is that i've gone messing with it myself and put in the wrong speakers for the amp that comes as standard, and not used the right cables , so they are pretty much useless as is.

and whoever installed the blue tooth car kit made a mess of it , cause only only 1 side of the front speakers works for music , and the other for the phone.

    Sounds like a headache :)

Is there an upgraded audio pack in the car hence the standard amp? Are you using the stock headunit still?

The issue with the BT is probably related to the mute cable, what make kit is it and can you get access to the wiring harness?

no the only thing that's been upgraded are the speakers that I have put in the back. still got the standard tape deck in it that's now out of order because when i took it out messing around , it locked and it sking for the code which i don't have.

pretty much a disaster all around really :-)
