Can anybody donate second-hand books for a huge charity book sale being organised in the Dublin Docklands?

Five organisations working with older people in the Docklands are organising the event, which takes place at the National College of Ireland (IFSC campus) from 11am to 7pm on Friday, May 14, and 10am to 5pm, Saturday, May 15. If you cannot donate, please down and pick up a bargain. All books €1 each.

We are aiming to sell over 40,000 books, but are now in the process of trying to gather them. We are accepting books at the National College of Ireland (IFSC campus) from Monday, May 10, up to Thursday, May 13. You can also drop them in to the Age Action shop, 30/31 Lower Camden Street, Dublin, from 10am-2pm, on Saturday, May 8.

Thanks to everyone who supported the recent book fair. From those who donated books and manned the event over the weekend, to those who did all the hard work behind the scenes to bring the book sale about.

We found good homes for thousands of books. All proceeds will go to groups working with the large community of older people living in the docklands area.

    Thanks.
