The Best cabin luggage for frequent flyer

    Hi All,

Quick one please, I travel a lot and I am looking for a good cabin bag that I can carry enough for 4 days, maybe 5 at a push. I have gone through a lot of different bags which usually break. Currently I have a backpack with wheels which is great. It is a Samsonite one but surprise, it broke in the airport the other day, the pull along handle came off!!! I have had nothing but trouble with Samsonite luggage and I will never buy them again.
So can anyone recommend a good luggage brand that will not break, does anyone have any experience in this area? I don't mind spending money if it will last, I am not too bothered about guarantees etc, because although I can get it fixed, it leaves me without a bag for some time while it is repaired.

    Any ideas appreciated!!!

Rimowa are very good, not the cheapest but they are quality. The internals are very basic though but for cabin luggage it is fine and they are light weight unless you go for the harder aluminium cases.

Amazon.co.uk have a large range of cabin luggage. I haven't tried any of them. I prefer to go without wheels.
    Here's a link "cabin luggage"

Every time I've gone into Arnotts they seem to have sale items on offer in their luggage department so maybe check them out? I agree that wheels is a must your choice would also depend on whether you're going to use as hand luggage only and what airline you fly with. I've found Ryanair's hand luggage criteria to be more restrictive than what you get with Aer Lingus.

I think that sometimes it makes sense to buy cheap as these items are likely to break/rip at some stage.
I bought this one from argos
    http://www.argos.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=30001&catalogId=1500002201&langId=-1&searchTerms=2861962
and it's perfect for weekends away and complies with ryanairs measurements. it's not going to win any awards for super duper special features but it does the job for me. it's only €14.99 at the moment so you could probably buy 2 just in case one breaks. i've had mine over a year now and it 's been on many trips.
