    You flash and then you can put the product code you need, e.g. the three fw.

    Yes just select the 3Ireland Global Firmware when your doing it, Your phone will thank you for it:)

    I've done it on a Meteor 995 and changed it to 3, different phone straight away.

    The option you want it, debrand, flash, rebrand. It'll set you back 10 Euro, you may do the unlock while your at it.
