Not wanting to hijack the for sale thread, but in answer to okistags query about 127 Sports, heres some I know about

    ^ long scrapped

I've also heard of an orange one found in a shed in Tipperary, my old black one 3 BZL is in Wicklow needing some work and I think the owner of the orange one above with the 2 tone wheels also has a black one.
My other old one 218 SZE was broken up too.

anyone know of any others about?? or the even rarer 1300GT

I had heard of 8 sports including mine and know of 1 1300 GT, but you have mentioned a couple more. There could be a few more tucked away waiting for the right time to be taken out. I eventually got in touch with the last owner of my first sport and the last she remembered of it was a couple of kids using it for driving across fields so it is long gone by now.

Never saw this one before. Looks well used and abused? The reg of my original one was MZY 803, sorry I ever let it go. Reg new in 1981, I bought it in Jan 1984.

Still shows on Cartell,so it was on the road after 1993 at least.

I can tell where I was the morning Princess Diana's death was announced, in Bray looking at a shed of a Sport, 2 tone, black over silver, overheating and steaming like a kettle. Can't remember the reg. Went for a blast over the Sally Gap in my Uno Turbo and had serious brake fade on the way down.

It is 3 or 4 years since i got in contact with the last owner and at that time she said it must have been 10 years or more from it was on the road. She could hardly even remember it, obviously not big into cars.

If you'll permit a slight thread hijacking, Blue850, can I ask how many Fiat 128's are out there? My dad had one back in his student days, but I've never actually seen one in the flesh.

128 on donedeal. This car is in Sligo
128 Saloons are rare, probably more coupes and 3Ps in Ireland than saloons. I worked ina Fiat dealership years ago and they had a lhd 128 estate as a service hack. It was originally Swedish or Norwegian reg, don't know how it ended up in Galway:confused:

I've only seen 2 saloons, the green one at a show in Celbridge and the purple belonged to a friend, it had a 1.5 engine from a Lancia Delta
