I have a 2000 opel corsa that has engine trouble, it has brand new battery, tyres and few other things, does anyone know if i can sell it to garage for parts or if anybody would be bothered buying it,

If not what are my options.

    Thanks

Doubt any garage would buy it. Would be worth something to someone for parts or repair. Put it on adverts.ie or another car site.
Do you know what the problem with the engine is.

would I be right in asuming its either the headgasket or that the engine was started in the cold spell and had no antifreeze?

if you take it to a metal scrap yard they should pay you for it by weight of metal, generally very little money, not advising you to do this, just telling you of another option

also just thought.....if you get it scrapped you can get at least €1500 for it with the scrappage scheme against a new car.

    details here: http://vrt.ie/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=782

    or here http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/vrt/faqs-scrappage-scheme

some dealers are giving up to €4500 off a new car
