    Right I have what could be a silly question...

    Can one take a still shot from a video clip in FCP 6? and if so how?
    The screen grab works ok but need a slightly higher resolution!
    Its probably quite obvious but I'm a bit of a noob!

    if the resolution isn't there in the camera it wont be there in the still. I assume you were exporting a still rather than printing screen?

    go to the point you want the still from and hit shift+n

    Cool cheers, yeah I was trying the screen grab/print, just wasn't as clear as it should have been. A yeah the resolution is there on the video using a HD camera.

    oh! and if you're looking to export it. File and export using QT conversion there's an option there for still image
