ATH Knockout match no.2: Degag vs Campo

So we had a quality opener with Voltwad seing off Volt_2007 to progress on to face Flahavaj in the quaterfinal and now its Degag and Campo's turn.

Simplified version of the rules:

I will post a topic and you have to post your response including why you made that choice within a given time limit (before the next match is scheduled to begin), take care while making your responses however as the other contestant can counter your arguement i.e pointing out possible flaws in what youve said.

*you can only counter an arguement two times so make sure your point is worth making. If someone's defense of their arguement isnt good it will count against them.

*You can use the same answer as your opponent if you wish i.e you agree with their choice however its hard to win a debate when your making the same points someone has already made

Q2: One of the current WWE roster is about to have a gimmick change and its up to you to decide who. Who would you pick? why them as apposed to any of your other options? what gimmick would you give them and how would you introduce it?

Wow, forgot that i signed up for this.

Anyway the wrestler that i signed up for a gimmick change would not be an entirely obvious one as he is still really over, my favourite wrestler, The Undertaker.

While still very over, there is no doubt that his gimmick has gotten rather stale especially since he has remained a face for virtually all his tenure since his comeback at Wrestlemania XX. In what are almost gauranteed to be the last few years of competitive action, i would like to change his gimmick back to the American Bad Ass where he was also fantastically over and he was given a chance to show his true abilities in the mic, where in my biased opinion he was also awesome. I think this would create more fueds and allow them to revisit old fueds such as with Edge, as it would freshen it up and in a way, feel like it was starting anew.

Changing him to the ABA would also make him seem more human and if he were to finally lose at WM or indeed retire it would be much more likely that he could have the "going away ceremony" that Flair and Michaels had because he wouldn't be breaking his much protected Phenom persona.

Not sure if i did this right as i didn't see the first battle so......!

Before I counter the Undertaker argument I will make my pick of a gimmick change and pick someone who unlike Undertaker is not over yet but with a little push I believe could be massive in the WWE Cody Rhodes, Ok he was in legacy with Orton and Dibiase but was never looked at more then a 3rd wheel I never understood why the WWE did not use the American Dream type gimmick with Rhodes where he could play the gimmick of being his fathers favorite son and have great feuds against to start with his brother Goldust as he would be a huge disapointment to his dad and then feud with Dibiase Jr ( which still may happen but wont get anywhere near the affect of American dream Jnr Vs Million dollar man Jnr ).

Even though I dont think Cody well ever be a main carder with his current gimmick or the one I would have given him I believe he could have done well in the mid-card division winning the IC title maybe and eventually turning heel on his dad and getting rid of his american dream gimmick

I have highlighted the part above which defeats the point of giving Rhodes a push with a new gimmick. You yourself don't think that he will ever become a main eventer no matter what gimmick he has. Lets be fair, If Cody Rhodes didn't have a famous father and hence the name "Rhodes," he would probably not be even employed by the WWE let alone given a spot in Legacy.

The last mega-faction in the WWE was Evolution which consisted of HHH, Ric Flair, Dave Batista and Randy Orton. Batista and Orton are now superstars, multiple World Heavyweight Champions and surefire Hall of Famers. Do you think the same will happen with Ted and Cody? Obviously not, considering you don't think he'll ever be a "main carder"

Cody has no charisma, poor on the mic and his wrestling skills leave alot to be desired of. It says alot that the best potential fued that you can come up with is with his brother, who is by far a better wrestler than Cody, but is a freakshow and is considered that way by management and indeed the "WWE Universe." Cody in my (and your) opinion will never make it, so why give him the push?

My argument on the Undertaker pick is that A) He is already over and B)Whats the point lets be honest Undertaker is no spring chicken any longer and he has made his name and the American bad ass gimmick for me was an awful gimmick ask any Taker fan of his best moments they would not mention any moments during the American bad ass phase.
As everyone knows his entrance used to be coming down in a harley if he had to do it now he be coming down on a zimmer frame.

But Cody Rhodes is a different kettle of fish he could actually do with a gimmick change and yes I did say I could never see him be a main stander what I should have said was never see him be a WWE Champion but Mr.Perfect and Razor Ramone are just two examples of guys never to win the top strap and if he can get into the same league as these guys he be doing well.

And in regards the gimmick I would give him the American dream would suit him down to the ground he could finally show off his mic skills that no one has seen so far but word in the back is that he is very good on the mic, and regards to his feud with Goldust this would be just for him to get his American dream gimmick over as soon as he gets over with this gimmick you could then feud him with the likes of Danielson, Dibiase Jr, Kofi and put the IC strap on him.

In finishing the question Undertaker = finished so no need for gimmick change
Cody= Young up and comer with a good gimmick change could propel him to the top.
