Anyone know any? I do know there is a Cowon model that does this, but it only records for 2 hours (maybe I should be happy enough with this! :o).

Basically what I'm looking to do is record a 3 hour radio show, of an evening, and listen to it when I get into work the following morning.

    Any suggestions gratefully received!

How about the Sansa clip 8gb? It can record direct from the radio into wav format. It is very affordable too, about £40 on Amazon.

I mostly use sofware on the computer called Easy-HiQ. This has a timer on it and you can record to several formats. This runs on the computer and then you can save to CD (wav) or MP3 or wma etc.

I also have the software from Music / Audio converter that I got in Aldi, that can record what is on the PC as well, the drawback is that you need to keep the volume up which you dont on the Easy-HiQ and also there is no timing. This is good however for some other purposes.

I had a DAB radio from Pure that I got for that purpose but it didnt last hugely long.

Thanks very much for the suggestions. I'm liking the sound of the Easy-HiQ software.

i have a 4gb sansa fuse and use it for that purpose all the time.
it will record live radio at super quality and can record for about 10 hours depending what else you have on it and what space you have left.
around 70 euros on ebay, but got mine in extravision for 39 before christmas.
    great little player.
