Anyone know of any easily accessible locations around Dublin city/south Dublin worth shooting? Looking to get the camera out for a spin and try out some new filters.

Killiney beach is a great location. Don't forget Bray if you don't mind going further south

Just get the DART and hop off when you see something you like.

Dun Laoghaire has a nice marina with some nice yachts for a dusk shoot.
Everywhere on the Southside is photogenic :D:D:eek:

I think howth was also given honorary south side status.
And it'd make a great day out shooting too :)

Yup Howth and Malahide can be lovely.
Sure even Bull Island can be nice on a good evening. Howth and beyond are my favourites - there's a small boat club past it (Skerries, maybe?) and they've these poles in the water. If you get a good long exposure they look like the'yre dancing.

    Gorgeous.

Slightly further north Between Rush and Loughshinny there are some lovely cliff walks. Both have nice little harbours and the Drummanagh with its Martello tower makes a walk

Just to summarize. It is believed, er...... a well known fact ;), that Dublin has probably got more accessible, beautiful and interesting Landscape/Coastal locations than anywhere else in the country. :D Where ever you go, you'll be fine.

A bit of a drive, but the Hellfire Club up Montpelier Hill has amazing views of the city.
