Studying for a law exam tomorrow and in the employment law section it states the following - paid time off for breast feeding for 26 weeks after birth - 1 hour off per day which can be broken into a number of smaller periods - you must notify your employer of your intention to avail of this - I have never heard of this 1 hour off per day for breast feeding - has anyone else or indeed anyone ever acted upon it?

26 weeks after birth would probably be when most employed people would be on their maternity leave so don't see how this would apply?

For those that are self employed returning to work earlier it wouldn't really apply either would it?

Have never heard of it before..

It is to give you a chance to express milk, 3 20 mins session over an 8 hour shift is enough to keep milk production going.
