Well, I just started playing the classic failed, 90s starwars strategy game.
I was pretty young when I played it first and on a lot of levels I both disliked it and liked it.
Recently, I thought "I wonder how it holds up now..."

So I got it, played it and things look pretty damn good. Apparently there is a relatively big online community who code mods for the game and play online against each other. I just skip the graphical battle scenes and simulate the space fights (much better option imo).

I crushed the Rebellion on my second attempt and last night I finished off by taking Coruscant and capturing Palpetine and Thrawn.

Anyone else played it ever or recently, or even thought about playing it at some stage?

Not that one tried it once and quickly went back to galactic battlegrounds.

There is some great starwars games mods out there. The homewold2 rebellion mod was fantastic i could spend all day looking at the eclipse model. Sins of a Solar empire has some pretty sweet starwars mods going around too. I actually liked empire at war and there was some nice mods for it too.
