Hi guys, I have no clue how to calculate my tax payable and my net pay. I earn 26,000 euro per year. Every two weeks I get paid 902.80. Does seem correct...I though it would work out a little more to be honest. Advice greatly appreciated.

Looks reasonable but it would depend on your circumstances. Are you claiming all your tax credits? Do you have a medical card and if you do, have you told your work?

The average single person would come out with a little less assuming they were only getting standard tax credits.

Hi Snowdrop, Thanks for looking into this...I am not claiming anything out of the ordinary. I literally started the job and have no exceptional circumstances.

Try my spreadsheet at http://taxcalc.eu/monthlyss for this query

PM me here if you need a hand using it or use the email on the sheet itself.

just to note , your on the health levy threshold which is 500 pw if you go over this you'll start paying 4% extra in your prsi ie €20 pw net. In case your lucky enough to get a raise or do overtime you could end on less take home pay.
