    Only £139.99/€160.98 in Engerland...

It says "JPEG and MP3 Playback via USB" — does that mean *not* video files?

As with the last offer, The UK version of the site is slight different, it states "Integrated digital tuner for Freeview reception" and the graphic also states "freeview" which is does not on the irish site.

No-one whom bought the last one came back to comment on the tuner capabilities.

The information on the medion site would suggest that it is an MPEG-2 DVB-T tuner only, so apart from the border regions, will not receive any broadcast signal in RoI, also will not work well for Analogue cable, but would work for digital cable where all that is required is a scart socket for the stb..

But maybe that means DivX files burnt to DVD?
The integrated DVD player is fully compatible with all standard video formats. Nor does it have any problems playing image and music files.
    DVD-Video, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, CD-R, CD-RW, Audio-CD, MP3-CD, WMA-CD, JPEG, MPEG 1/2/4, DivX compatible

Does it have a CAM slot so you can upgrade to MPEG4, and how much would such a card cost ?

If it has the DivX/XviD codecs on it I would see no reason why it wouldnt work of a usb, not saying 100% that it will work, but I'd say the chances are it will
