    Hi All

    I am currently getting quotes for a self building the North West, my planning permission is in and I am just looking around for prices on blocks, windows etc

    Any recommendations would help me out a lot. :):)

    i dont know about blocks but re: windows/doors


    how many windows are there?

    to give you an idea of recent prices and what to expect

    i paid 7700 inc vat for all the windows/doors (pvc) in this, would have been cheaper but i went for triple glazing...

    also note that coloured/black PVC is about 20% dearer apparently, I went for white since i think it was silly paying that and it contrasts with black/gray soffit + tiles + stone

    downstairs alone theres 19 windows, that doesn't include the velux windows upstairs!

    where did you get your windows?

    the 7 veluxes were already in when i bought the house half build, i might put in another one for extra light

    we are not allowed to name names in forum of course

    i opted for pvc main door, not wooden, so that saved small bit, my main rationale for this choice was cost and the not so great u values of wooden doors
