LINES ON SKY PICTURES

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I've been asked to look at a setup in a house where the signal from a terrestrial aerial is being fed through a sky box to sistibute to other rooms with some remote TV links.

The problem is that when the aerial signal is connected to the sky box it puts lines accross the sky pictures.

I haven't been to the house yet but I'm assuming that it's either that:
    1. The masthead amp(theres definitely one installed)for the aerial is interfering with the sky, or
    2. The rf channel being used on the sky box is near to one being used in the area for the terrestrial.
Has anyone any thoughts or suggestions on it or any other ideas.

I've been told that there is no distriubution amp in the setup.

    Cheers

I'm no expert, but it sounds like the rf frequencies are conflicting. Easy enough to adjust on a Sky box secret menu.

    Change the RF channel Number.
