    Thinking of buying a 2005 Focus 1.6 Tdci 110ps.
I can bring it in from the Uk for €7000 cleared. Is this good?
Anyone now if there are any common problems? Or when does the Timing Belt need changing or do they have a belt?

    Thanks for the help

    What model is it?

The reason I ask is because you can get Focus's in this country for less than €7000 and they are 2006 as well.

Example of an LX in Ireland

Ok Its a 1.4 but fine for a Focus

Indeed. OP I'm looking in the same general area, and for the model I'm after, for 05's I'm seeing asking prices of £5k (€5.7K), plus 1.4k VRT. That doesn't include RAC check & expenses though. I'm not sure if your 7k is counting it either. You'll need to include it though to compare it to whats available in Ireland to see if it makes financial sense to go ahead with the deal.

You would probably buy this higher spec Ghia close to the price of importing one plus it will come with some sort of warranty:

Ghia has nicer spec including velour seats, cruise control, auto lights, auto wipers and auto dipping rear view mirror. I wouldn't even look at the LX or 1.4 litre.
