    Hi folks,

    Does anyone know the name of a company to get a text number to advertise.

    I want to get a short number like 53111 that people can text into.

    Numbers are allocated to different companies. Some companies are 'resellers' is have the numbers so they can offer them to you and the likes. The number you mentioned is reserved already (and I'd suggest that it not up for grabs).

    I have dealt with Phonovation and zamano - bot established companies. As an aside - what product cat are you looking to advertiser and why sms (I'm not in the business, trust me - just have a lot of experience with it and I'm curious!)

    It's not actually a business. It's a charity event we have been giving a prize and we are going to auction it off for charity.

    We were going to organise one of the radio stations to advertise it and people could bid by texting in.

    the number 53111 was merely an example I dont mind what the number is just thought it would be handy to have one of them 5 digit numbers.

    on a side note blue4ever are you a resdub?

    Mind yourself on the payment side - there are so many feet under that table you might overestimate the money you'd get. Genuine, if you need direction/adveice ect - PM me and i'll give you anything i have stored away in the dome!

    As for the aside - with a handle live blue4ever - you'd have to "support the cause", wouldn't you - although I have the "4" in it here in the Res I lost it somehow (when they changed servers some time back) so work under a different handle there. Roll on the 13th!!!
