Setting Cursor Speed on Vista ??

Small issue on Vista. I am used to the touch pad on my HP laptop, so i set the cursor speed at 3/4 of full speed when i start the laptop. It is usually at half way. After I click 'Apply' and then 'Ok', the cursor is at my prefered speed. But then, the next time i switch on my laptop, the cursor speed is set back at the old speed.

It's a small issue, but a pain in the a$$ to set every time i boot up.
