Green Waste Esker Lane, Lucan - Closed???

    Hi,

As a resident of Leixlip i have found the green waste facility in Lucan very handy over the last few years. However recently after cutting the grass and cutting back numerous plants i went on the internet to find the opening hours only to see the facility has been closed. I rang the contact number but the phone just rang through.

Does anybody know is this a temporary closure, or are we to use other centres in the region. The closest place to me now is in Coolmine but i would rather use somewhere closer to the north Kildare area, it's a pity there are no recycling centres in the Maynooth/Celbridge/Leixlip area.

If anyone has any information or advice on centres i don't about i would be much obliged.

    Thanks,

    David

Its closed for good as far as I know :(

We brought our last lot of green waste to the recycling centre in Ballymount - its just 2 minutes off the M50, its €15 for a car full

    Hi Magicray,

Thanks for the reply. Thats a pity, it was a handy place to go on a Saturday with a full car and at €8 was pretty reasonable compared to €15 at Ballymount.

I'll give Ballymount a try, i know bringing stuff into Coolmine you need two tags which cost about €8 a pop, Ballyogan if i recall is near €20. The powers that be don't make it easy for us.
