You've probably left it too late now. But give him a sob story about getting shafted by work. Tell the lecturer you told work you couldn't work X days at Y time (lecture times). But they kept rostering you and your boss is a pain. Then tell him you just wanted to know if you could get any material you might of missed (make it look like you care). Tell him you couldn't afford to leave the job (more sob stories).

Repeat the year and chill out for a while. It's not like you're getting a job when you graduate anyway.

The type of course that has no brainers that don't turn up for a free 25% :o

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Are you from Limerick ??? If not tell him you go home every weekend to take care of your sick mother and don't make it back till 10 on a monday morning. Again he is gonna wonder why you didn't tell him this earlier. You have left it shokingly late to try pull a fast one on this guy.

That is truly shocking, I don't remember ever getting any marks for attendance let alone a quarter of the marks for one module, do you get bonus marks for spelling your name right too?

I'm just speculating here but you're probably going to have to offer him your sister as a sex toy for a full weekend.

She may or may not be up for this.

In the case that she isn't, and again I'm just speculating, you'll probably have to lick the rust off of his purple helmet.

Have you some sort of allergy to rain? Does it cause you to shrink if you get caught out in it? Or maybe you melt like the witch in the Wizard of Oz if you get wet?

The fact that you were too lazy to get out of bed all the other weeks suggests to me that the rain wasn't exactly a factor here.

I'm sure we'll be able to find something for him. Obviously nothing in the Biz category because he won't have the qualifications for that.

Nah Zaph, 25% for attending with a streaky tan sooo isn't worth it.

Can you not pull a pass out of the other 75%, that's what I did in my undergraduate bum days when I decided essays =/= fun and kids tv did.

Do you really get 25% just for going? You don't have to have any homework done or do a test at the end of the hour?

If you get 25% soley on attendace you should be shot for not goin'!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,686 ✭✭✭✭mickdw

Its 25% of one subject. Go for a high grade from the 75% remaining.

Man, if i got 25% just for turning up, i'd have turned up!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,289 ✭✭✭parker kent

Hate to be the people that actually turned up if he gives you any of that 25% due to some bogus excuse! Most I got for attendance was 5%. A bit silly really giving marks just for showing up.

Oh enough of the sanctimony! We've all been there, and if you haven't: live a little!`

OP its a bit late to try get out of this one now, why not just get the most out of 75% that you can. You'll pass anyway.

just tell him you didnt want to go in and you feel its unfairly discriminatory to enforce draconian demands on those off us who were genetically cursed with different biorhythms than the rest of the world.

    seriously, biorhythms. check it out.

failing that play the discrimination card more strongly - like these guys at 1.01

if your doing a masters theres ever chance that youll pass the module anyway no matter what you do ( as long as you sit the paper) lecturers have no intentin of coming back to set a repeat paper for the one drongo who couldnt scrawl his name on a script

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,028 ✭✭✭✭--LOS--

well done class, you made it, a little left, little right, little more right, back a bit, more, you've passed.

Maybe I actually care about my degree. Maybe I find my lectures actually useful. Or maybe I just thought that it was a bit ridiculous for some one not to turn up and get 25% of his course just because he was too lazy to get out of bed.
