fogging up goggles

    how does spitting into your goggles stop them from fogging up. I do it and it works but i'm more curious about the actual mechanic behind it

    Google turned this up. Seems a reasonable enough explanation. I've known a few people who dip their goggles in water before putting them on. Never thought about why they did it actually.
