No NCT cert in windscreen - any other way to check if car has NCT?

    If a car (given its age) should have an NCT cert, but it's not in the front window, is there any way to check if the car has been NCT'd or not?

    The NCTS people would probably tell you if you phoned them.

    Ring any NCT center with the reg and they will tell you.
    If you require a new cert, they will charge you

    put the reg and the DOB of the car into the NCTS online booking system - it will tell you when the last nct was done.

    Or phone them if you don't have the Cars DOB. I've done it before to check that the cert on a prospective car I was buying was genuine
