So you're dealing with someone putting you in touch with the best rates available etc., allowing them to put money in for your - your money of course ;)

You could actually do this yourself.

How much does the financial advisor get on commission?

    Just wondering.

It depends. On a lot of things - depends on the investment/depends on the bank/investment co etc

Yes you could. If you want to spend your time doing all the research etc go ahead and do it.

If you wish someone else to spend their time working for you and doing the research and their expertise/advice then they deserve to be paid for this work.

    Btw please clarify "advisor".

Do you mean an independent advisor/an advisor in the bank/a broker/a tied advisor etc????
