A 60-year-old is due to stand trial charged with breaching an Asbo which bans him from dressing up as a schoolgirl.

Peter Trigger was given the five-year Asbo in December 2008 after waiting near a primary school in the town dressed as a schoolgirl. It bans him from wearing a skirt or showing bare legs on a school day between 8.30am and 10am, and 2.45pm and 4pm, and also from behaving in a manner which causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to others.
Trigger, from Farndon Close, Northampton, previously denied breaching the order three times and will stand trial at Northampton Magistrates' Court.
He is accused of causing harassment, alarm or distress on December 16 last year, contrary to the terms of the order.
He is also accused of wearing a skirt and having bare legs at 9.05am on January 27 this year, and again at 9.07am the following day - again breaching his Asbo.

I guess it takes all kinds.
I have a wee sneaking suspicion though, that he might be easy to spot!
I could be wrong of course. :pac:

Ah ok, after reading that I see the problem. It's hardly the schoolgirl outfit, it's more the fact that 'He would walk after children tugging at their sleeves, showing his bare thighs and indicating he had nothing on underneath.'

But of course the Sun are committed to entertaining us, and close with the wonderful point that 'Britney wore a skimpy school outfit in the video to her 1998 debut hit . . . Baby One More Time'

    She sure did.

"He appeared in court today charged with causing harassment, alarm and distress".

Ah, so that's the legal language for "being different".

Ok, the man should be allowed wear what he wants. But what I find strange about this is a 59 year old man is hanging around schools and following kids. The fact that he is doing this is more worrying than what he is wearing.

What did he do with the girl after he stole her uniform? That's what I want to know.

Damn. Dressing up as a schoolgirl is illegal?

Does boards.ie have a forum for selling, um, costumes? I need to get rid of a few things.

On the 2nd time of his arrest, he reportedly said, "Oops I did it again."

If he was just happy being different I can't imagine there would have been an issue, plenty of odd-balls around without ASBO's...it's the

that got him into trouble, I suspect....

During the two-day hearing it emerged Trigger had been unnerving children outside a local school with his antics since October 2007.
Parents claimed Trigger had bent over, shown his bare thighs and indicated he was wearing no underwear.

Personally, I would have just banned him from hanging round the school.

The guy obviously has some psychological problems.

Instead of issuing ASBO's and putting him on trial he should be treated for mental illness.

Something that crossed my mind yesterday.

When someone is banned from going within x00 metres of a school does this apply on election day ?
