It may have been brought up before but you can now pick the date for your test online. Its really handy. I did it this morning and got a date for the 8th of June.

This is a very welcome step forward but just be aware that for now its only a "pilot scheme" so only available in test centers in Dublin (Finglas, Tallaght, Churchtown & Raheny) and Cork. Only applies to Cat B (Car) tests also for the moment.

Lets hope it gets rolled out nationwide soon!

I applied a few weeks ago. I need to get some lessons in so I picked the option that said I didn't want to do it before a certain date (June 20th) does anyone know will the waiting time apply from June 20th i.e. 4-5 weeks after that date, or could it be scheduled one week after the date I picked?? Thanks!

I applied this morning for a test in finglas and their are loads of options, it comes up when you finish paying for the test their is an option on the bottom of the page asking do you want to choose a date, I picked one 5 weeks away just so I'll be ready and confident, their are loads in-between, you could get one for this day 2 weeks if your in a rush but its only for dublin centres at the moment

Anyone know what test centers are offering one to pick a date for a test?
I don't want to pay and find out I can't pick one, cheers.
