i think music is a great way to encourage one's interest in another culture; speaking to the converted i know but i think if everyone could suggest a group/singer...
i think we should limit it to german lyrics of course:P
maybe at the beginning of each post you could state the genre too, that would be helpful:)

Love this song from Karat (they had to disguise their lyrics a bit, though not in this song I believe, to get around the DDR censors!)...some ossi music is class:
