    Hi,

Just found out the figure on my P60 for last year is wrong and the same with the tax office. They have it down that i'm earning more than I am.

I'm just wondering what the implications of this are?

Were you overtaxed also? If so you may be due a refund and you can claim this by asking Revenue to issue a balancing statement for 2009.

Otherwise you should contact Revenue or they may take it that you underpaid tax and look for the difference either directly or by reducing your tax credits for this year.

    Go here:
    http://www.taxcalc.eu/

And work out what tax you should have paid based on your actual salary. If the tax paid figure on your P60 is higher than this, then you may be due a tax refund.

Your first port of call is your employer. They would have to tell Revenue that the information on your P60 was incorrect.
