    Hi All,

It has recently come to light in my company that some available positions are being advertised externally for between 8 and 15k more than a current employee would get if their application for the same position was to be accepted.

When the issue was raised with HR they simply shrugged it off and siad that we were lucky to still have a job given the "recession" and we had no right to be complaining or looking for more money!

Any advice on how to go about dealing with this situation?
