    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a hurling team in cork that lets just say wouldn't take it too seriously. Fit enough but never actually played the game even though I can puck around and can play ok.

Any ideas on teams that would take me on:)

What part of Cork? There is no team that doesn't really take it seriously I'd say - some big clubs have junior teams for players that don't want to play it at a high level

No I wouldn't think you'd find any hurling team in Cork takeing it easy !!! Tipperary is the place for that :) Sure if you drop down an evening or two to a city council pitch or local club I'm sure you'd find a few lads pucking around in the long evenings. Maybe lads retired from the game but still enjoy a puck around.

Depends where you are located. Plenty of junior clubs in Cork who are stuck for players.

    Hi,

Sorry when i said take it easy i meant a team that might give a lad that never played before a game :)

    I am in the city.

How do i go about getting in contact with any of these teams?

Go onto the www.gaacork.ie website, and go to the club tab on the left, you can find the details of all the club secretaries there - if you contact them, they can find out for you

Ya we'll just see about that on the 30th May!!

OP, I'm sure if you do a small bit of training you might get a game.
I doubt any team would throw in a newbie with no training done at all.

i'd say go for it underover, life's too short, plenty of clubs looking for new members

You'd never know, he might get handy quick and make the county team if they get the hump and decide to "strike" again! See ya in Semple
