Hi, I am thinking of doing the FE1's. Are there any courses in the Dublin area for females only? I do not want to be in a class with guys as I think they are a distraction.

Griffith offer a distance learning course so you could do that and not have to attend lectures in person. I found these to be great to be honest as you can do them in your own time

The learning distance course is a good idea. You could also look into private tuition, more info here: http://www.lawsociety.ie/Documents/education/hbs/fe1grindlist.pdf

I never found boys to be a distraction in the lectures (well, not a bad distraction anyway :) ), everyone is there to learn as much as possible in as short a time as possile, and they're all paying a lot of money for it. It's not like college. Also, if you go on the PPC course there will be boys there and there's nothing you can do about that.

If there arent any, which I would bet my life on (imagine feeling the need to segregate law students because of boys being a distraction!) you could minimize your distaction by doing on of the all day revision courses so its not spread out over a few weeks.

LOL, how are you going to cope when you're sitting the exams or even at PPC1/2??

More importantly how are you going to cope in court if you find the opposite sex a distraction?

The other night in my class I counted girls 2:1 over the guys, so there's nothing to get distracted about.

Besides, everyone is there to learn.

If you put yourself in the front row you won't even see them :D
