Folks, i have a 03 vectra thats been having intermittent starting problems.

When I put the key in 50% of the time the car wont start for a few time, the immobilser warning light comes up. But if I take the key out and try again it normally works.

Is this they key or the immobiliser?

If you have a second key try it?
I had a similar problem in a VW Golf and sorted it by turning on and off the ignition 10 times. It worked believe it or not!
I would also get the car scanned. It could be your crankshaft sensor on the way out?
